I was recommended this place from a coworker... only a 20 minute drive from where I was at. This place is actually a Milex Complete Auto Care *AND* Mr. Transmission, so they can do everything. Good to know! I wish that I could rate higher than 5 stars. As many women may feel unsure about going into a repair shop without much knowledge of anything, I did not get that feeling here. They were different than other places because they actually showed me the worn out part from my car versus the new replacement. I had no doubt (after doing a bit of google research and talking to my dad who used to work on cars) that Ramon, the super friendly owner, wasn't screwing me over with the work or the price. On a different note, they even have a nice fishtank, TV, and water station in their waiting area. And come to find out, the owner is an Iraq veteran! Definitely recommend. I'd go back if I need anything else done. A big thanks to Ramon and his mechanics!

Our car broke down about 3 hours from home, stranding us for the night. Ramon and his team were able to get us in first thing in the morning and back on the road in a few hours. They are were polite, knowledgeable, and best of all less expensive than I was preparing for. He walked us through what had gone wrong (in this case, a defective new axle we had just gotten replaced two weeks prior) and physically showed us the problem. Great guys, great place, definitely recommend them. If they were three hours closer, we'd be regulars. Thanks again, guys!

I had a "loose feeling" front suspension on my Dodge Stratus. Ramon and his team diagnosed the problem; worn lower ball joints. They replaced them quickly and a price that was about $100 less than other estimates I received. Nice guys, good work, and best of all an HONEST repair facility! I'd highly recommend them!

I've lived in Michigan. But I got a gear shifting problem while driving to Chicago. Long story short, I ended up to this place. People say this is a definite transmission problem. I've got a quote from this place for the transmission repair (possibly replacement). It was quite expensive to just inspect the transmission. But I didn't have a choice then. So I let the guy (Rob Moron (or Moran?)) fix my allegedly transmission problem. After a few hours later, he called me and said that he found out that the actual problem was from a location sensor which is much much cheaper than the inspection of the transmission (and transmission repair or replacement). I was in a remote place (two-hour driving distance) so he could've told me that the expensive inspection is necessary and charged me whole lot more. He is such a honest man. I would like to strongly recommend this guy and let people know this nice guy.

Fixed my Thermostat when others told me I needed a waterpump. Also fixed my transmission when it was only a spring instead of charging me to rebuild transmission

We have been taking our cars to Mr. Transmission in Highland for over 15 years. We received outstanding service at a fair price every time. Most recently, brought our car to Mr. Trans for a 2nd opinion regarding the brakes/rotors after the dealer, as part of a courtesy check, said they needed to be replaced (for $800). Mr. Transmission said the brakes/rotors were not in need of replacement. In fact, Mr. Transmission was correct- after another 1,000 miles on the brakes, there have been no issues. This is just an example of the impecable integrity of ownership and management. Mr. Transmission is our first choice for any of our car repair needs.

I've been using Mr. Transmission in Highland for several years. They've come to my rescue so many times, even once coming to my garage to change a tire since I can't with RA. I've bought two vans from them now and have always had great service.
